Good morning

What a difference in our weather, the nights are really drawing in and we have had cloudy and wet days for the past week. I know we need rain, but I would like some sunshine back. This is a thank you card I made this week lilac is one of my favorite crafting colours.

I also made two quick birthday cards, I had forgotten my grandsons birthdays in Aussie. One now 15 and the other 18, they grow so quickly and I have only met them 5 times, still, better than not at all. I was so anxious to get them in the post I forgot the photo's !!

I hope you are enjoying your summer, whatever the weather. Thanks for dropping by.

Good morning

I hope you have been enjoying this beautiful summer, I love it but I know a lot now want to see rain and cooler conditions.
I have needed a couple of sympathy cards recently so I thought I would show them to you.

papers 'Romance' from daily bread sentiment, dies are spellbinders oval, Joanna sheen corners, Tonic butterfly die,
lace, flowers, stickles and heart from stash.
Just a simple one with my lily stamp and clear glitter, peel-off corners.

And then a birthday card found in drafts

Love this house mouse stamp with his 4 leaf clover, machine stitched on edges.

It was raining on and off this morning, but we have managed to play bowls for just over an hour before it started again. The ground is so dry and we can expect big rises in the cost of food and milk this winter, have a good week

Here is the card that I made for them
They are coming to see me on Sunday with photo's and a video of the wedding. They were led down to the lochside by a piper, later on they are going back beside the loch for a champagne wedding breakfast

Good morning....

Hello again from Crafty catz, we are here with challenge 426 and this week it is our lovely teamie Nina who chooses anything goes with a twist of 'die-cuts.' We are sponsored by

PRIZE 12$ gift card TO SPEND AT (equal to 3 images)

We were kindly given an image to work with and I chose tender thoughts, coloured with PM's, spellbinders dies, doily, bows and sentiment from stash.

Well, we have had 2 days of rain so far, Friday and Monday, it should help dampen down our big fires but we need so much more for the reservoirs. A hosepipe ban sounds on the cards for August, but it would help if the water companies fixed the big leaks when they occur, and stopped paying so much to shareholders !! I also bet that there is no shortage of water for Quadrilla when they start drilling for shale gas in the near future in our area! That takes millions of gallons.......

It must be 25 years at least since I last heard the cry of  'any old iron'around these parts, I was sitting at my laptop wishing I had something and then I could have chosen between a goldfish or rubbing stone !!! In fact I have no use for either lol. I bet most kids under 30 would not even know what it meant !

Another beautiful week but with the downside of moorland fires around us! A massive one on Saddleworth moor and a very big one on Rivington moors. We have had a few days of smoke and we can smell the grass fires. Hats off to our fire-fighters working in direct sun and heat trying to bring it all under control!! I hope too much of the wildlife do not suffer.
Some people do not think when they discard bottles and cigarette ends,....please take ALL rubbish home.
