after some lovely frosty mornings we have rain today, I went in to Manchester yesterday, had lunch out and then went to see Billy Elliot. A super production very well done and at the end, a man from the audience came on stage, got his girlfrind up, and proposed to her. She said yes, but so would I in front of all those people, even if I said no later lol !

Good morning....

I hope you are back to normal after a Good Christmas and New Year.
I took my tree down yesterday but I need to start on a good clear up. I went to Ikea inbetween Christmas and bought 2 bookshelves, I ONLY need to put them together now lol.... should be fun!

Here is a birthday card made for my friends husband, his birthday is on the 31st!

It is a Mo's image of course, coloured with PM's. Old birthday papers, charm and sentiment from stash., my camera seems to be throwing light back at me recently and I have tried different settings...oh well!
When I began crocheting in May, after the first basic stitches I started this lap quilt and it has been work in progress between sewing, knitting and cards..... I finished it over Christmas and I am really pleased with it now

I have loads of odd balls of wool and so thought I may start another on which can go to McMillan coffee day.

I am off to crochet club now, so thank you for your visit.

Good afternoon

I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas however you spent it. I went to my grandson's for Christmas lunch, 5 of us to enjoy a well cooked lunch with lots of chatting, soft background music of carols and a few wines, I did not want anything later. I came home Boxing day. I would be more than happy to spend it alone just doing what I want. I did not go to the supermarkets the week before, I hate to see the greed of some people with trollies piled high and knowing half of it will get binned !!! There are still the same amount of days in a week!!!
Any way, I made 20 gift chocolate boxes, some for table favors and some as a fairing gifts....here are the first few
Over the past few days I have made a start on cards for next year lol

made with a new die but very hard to photograph!
The past few days we have woken up to stunning hoare frost and bright blus skies, I have been out across the fields and along the new busway.
not many people out today but it was busy yesterday
I love these bramble leaves covered in frost
and this small seed head with frosty spears
And then the camera died lol !!!

I have been trying to tidy up in the craft room but I need a bookshelf for storage, I may have a look what Ikea have but will I be able to build it myself ?? !!

Thanks for your visit. Have a Healthy, peaceful, and wonderful New Year

Good Morning......

I hope you are not to stressed out and rushing about, easy for me with rellies in Oz and NZ....Sunday morning I went for a walk along our local canal, beautiful morning as the first thing I saw  was a hot air balloon
As it was very cold there were so many pretty droplets and frost on trees and bushes and grasses... althought I took a lot of pictures, not many showed what I hoped to capture
still white with frost but not what I hoped for.....
A little better with dew in the tips if the pines......when I got home I made four fruit cakes.....
.I have been busy in the craft room though! I made 4 gift bags, two for family and two for the sellers of big issuse outside my local Aldi.....a lovely lady on Wednesday and a lovely man on Thursday, both so pleasant and always smile and say hello.....

I al;so added a handmade card to both of them, for the two family ones, I added brandy to the fruit loaves.
I have also made 20 matchboxes with my Tim Hotz die.... 6 for table favors on Christmas day and the others as fairing gifts for my friends.

these are part of work in progress....fiddly to make and glue everywhere but also fun.....
I hope you are organized.
My family in Oz yesterday felt the aftershocks from the Indonesian earthquake and they also have a cyclone warning as well, hopefully, it may change course and miss them!
Out for a Christmas meal tonight on this cold Winter Solstice.....
Have a Happy Christmas and thank you for your visits this year
