My exciting news...........

I have been asked by Carol at Crafty Catz if I would like to be on the DT..........I had to give it due consideration........ and said yes in 6 nano seconds lol......... So here is my first card as an official team member.

The challenge is for fancy folds and this is the inside

We were also given the image to use from Alota Digis
My papers are PM amethyst infusion
coloured with promarkers
Image cut with nesties
die is cheery Lynn
flowers,  lace, brad and peel-offs  from stash
inside I have stamped a flourish die (no name)

I would like to enter the following challenges;
Crafty Ribbons---------- anything goes with ribbon

Fab n' funky--------- ribbon/lace

Stampavive and more--------------- ribbon/lace

I'm off to Southport with my Cousin today for a little retail therapy..........with the wind and showers, I think a walk along the pier will NOT be an option! lol.....Lord Street coffee shops seem a better bet unless the sun puts his hat on!......I really don't think two pensioners losing the oars of a rowing boat on the lake,  would be a good look either lol .........
Enjoy your long weekend and why not pop across to Crafty Catz and join in the challenge.
Thank you for your visit

Good morning

I hope I find you well on this sunny morning.... don't know if it will last, lol
I have been very busy all week doing things that I can't show you yet! I needed to make seven birthday cards for use over the next month and I am very busy trying to finish the quilt for my grand-daughter's birthday in 2 weeks time, so here is the latest quilt for the LilyBo appeal

This is quilt 7 for the Lilybo appeal, all in green for a baby boy, so sad that they are needed at all, but I am so happy to help.

This is the matching bag to carry it in. I love the babies in the pea pods lol........

In between, I am trying to get the garden sorted and the hanging baskets done, plus lots of housework as I shall be going away again soon. Is it worth it ?? Of course it is lol........any offers of help???? didn't think so!
I have a shopping day on Saturday, hopefully for the last BITS ?? with Kerry who is going to live and work with my Son and family in Humpty Doo near Darwin, for the next 12 months....... a great opportunity for her.
Better get back to the grindstone, have a good weekend..............

Good morning

A happy Sunday to you all, we have showers here today which is good! The garden did need some rain and it also means I don't have to go out and make my hanging baskets, also the plants waiting to go in get a drink as well!
I have so much to do inside, my craft room is driving me mad, in desperate need of a tidy-up, but I also need to make 4 cards, hunt for missing embroidery, get Kerry's quilt together and sewn, alter two dresses for her, as well as some usual H/W ! I only have 27 days left to accomplish everything Panic is setting in!

Anyway, here is a card I was asked to make......... The brief was for a lady who knits and will be 80 later this month. Although I do like the card I am very unsure of what the Lady who ordered it will think, I have a feeling she will think it to young. I put the 3 borders at the bottom to represent rows of knitting, buttons and wool..........let's see, I may have to start again! lol

Paper stack Sparling Spring papers
Matted onto cream card
Mo's image
Coloured with promarkers
Cut with Nesties opulent ovals

Good morning

Please can I join in this week with the Friday smiles............... I just had to show you what the lovely Jo sent to me this week........ I am so delighted!

It is a thank you gift for making a few LilyBo quilts for her appeal. The scarf  is in my favourite colours and it is dyed and sewn by Jo herself. Certainly one to treasure as I wear it. A beautiful pen, a surprise gift which I am not allowed to open until the 29th May and I was lucky to win the stamp draw as well for the stitcher's!!
I am still smiling!
Thank you Jo

Here are two pictures of my apple tree in wonderful blossom with the warm sunshine this week. it only grows to 5/6 foot.........

Good Morning............

I have never posted at this time before........ and that is because I am out AGAIN tomorrow..... I  have had my going out feet on all week and it has been exciting............  My cousin helped me on Thursday to get my quilt together as it it King size,........... feels more like a football pitch, sewing it will be a nightmare, as I have never done anything so big..........(.sorry the pic is sqew-wif.)....Last night I went to my Grandsons last charity night as Mayor of Westhoughton,  he was the second youngest ever UK Mayor, beaten by one in Cumbria, two months younger. He has had a fantastic year at now 23 years old and along with his girlfriend Amy, they have raised over £20.000 again, a record for the area.......AND it was a concert by the Houghton Weavers (formed in 1975 and still going strong) and Ryan played along with them in six songs on keyboard!(How proud was I lol)
A very successful evening........ today I have been to the garden centre nearby  and got some plants for the baskets........... one job creates three more it seems........ anyway............the card today is for my Cousin Brenda on her 39th wedding anniversary, they are off to Blackpool on Saturday for  the week, so this image from just ink-lined seemed very much appropriate!
It's not very often we see the sun shine in the North West lol and I have never, in 60 something years seen the water as blue as this either...Sorry Blackpool, you still need to get you act together lol..........don't let it put you off, it's a wonderful place to visit, and we have lovely donkeys on the sands, so gentle..........I tried to give it a bit of a  saucy postcard feel

good morning.........

Well, this little bit of sunshine is great.......... yesterday, I started by mowing the lawns then took down my net curtains..... I washed (three loads ), ironed, cleaned my windows and got my net curtains back up! This morning the sun encouraged me to strip the bed, re-make it and the washing is blowing in the sun and wind! (shows I have not done much lately)! I was tempted to do a bit of weeding, but it would be a little daft of me because my back is aching.........instead, I finished off a card that is going to a relative in New Zealand for her birthday next week. they are animal mad. They have 1 sheep, 1 small horse, 4 pigs, 3 piglets and 3 dogs!
I thought this would be ideal for her lol...........
