I have finished!!!

I have now finished my first quilt....and I got it wrong when I gave you a little peek the other week. This is called rail fence and not log cabin as I thought........ that will be my next one lol.I could not get true colours on my photograph, the cream is darker and the mid green has a pattern which does not show up. I think the light through the windows has taken some colour. Never mind.... you get the general idea. It's not perfect, but I am pleased.

I am sorry but I am still unable to leave comments. I am waiting for my IT person (hurry up Aunty Sue) to come down and show me how to change to a different browser.
I have been to see all your great creations though

We went to the craft fair last Sunday at Leigh, there were some new stalls this time and more demonstrations.I did manage to spend some money. A few pro-markers, distress inks and 3 new dies. I was dissapointed with the doily type die I got from Oyster crafts, I asked before purchase if it would cut clean with being intricate and was told yes, but that is not the case. I also took back a flourish die I bought from them last year, that I was having trouble with, but the woman told me it was okay. I would have liked to have seen her cut it as my bigshot and calibur do not cut it clean. All my other dies are fine in them though!(I was not asking for money back) I think I shall stick with 'Dies to die for' in future.

Ribbonbox had some wonderful ribbons.......I don't know how I managed not to buy any, but we did purchase some ribbon mesh which is wonderful. it can be made into flowers, butterflies or anything else! the lady had a necklace on, made with that and some beads, it looked stunning!

I hope you are all well and busy, take care

Hugs Tilly x

Beautiful quilt, well done! Thats quite a task, I am struggling to make a patchwork cushion! I was at Leigh last Saturday, first time and I was well impressed, spent loadsa money ....we were not impressed by Oyster's customer service skills though, they were very grumpy! I too wll stick with Tracey in future.

Take care, Barbara xx

Oooo what a fabby quilt, you clever thing you.

It's a shame about Oyster Stamps, i always use them, and never had any problems with them before. Luv Sam x

What an amazing quilt its beautiful.
I'm guessing the die is a Cherry Lynne or a Marianne one. I find I need a shim or two to make them work well because of all the detail. You may know this but a shim is basically a piece of paper or thin card I have to use them in my big shot for most of the memory box dies as well.

Hi Christine, I have heard a few rumblings about Oyster just lately, so your not alone, it's a very poor service though, what happened to the customer being right....I really hope you can get somewhere with it....

Your quilt is just stunning, can't believe how well for your first one, beautiful, hope your proud of yourself...xxx
