good morning

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend and found a little time for crafting. It tried to snow a few times but never made it lol.  I stayed in the warm and did a little sewing and made this spring card.
Did you see the moon last night ?? it was so big and bright, I love the night sky. I also love Sunday night TV at the moment, Countryfile, The midwife and Mr Selfridge. That was proper service in the shops in those days! I remember our Local Co-op shop in the 50's, they had a magnificent staircase with wrought iron and polished wooden handrail, which was so smooth from years of people sliding their hands down it.They also had the money tubes flying around overhead which the assistant put your money in and it whizzed off to the office. It all fascinated me as a child.
Anyway, on to my card,

My minds eye bloom and grow pad
Little Claire garden shelves
Coloured with promarkers
Memory box spring border die
Button and twine from stash
Lots of stickles on flowers at the bottom
 3Dgloss on onions and cup

I would like to enter the following challenges;

Panpastel blog -------- Birthday

Totally papercrafts ------ Hope for spring

Crafty Ribbons -------- Button up

Lady Anne's stamp challenge --------- must use a stamp

That's about it from me today, except to say, Janette we hope you are feeling a little better and soon back with us.

Hugs Tilly x

Hi Tilly
We are both showing our age, I remember the tubes wondering where they went as I child.
I too watched countyfile , call the midwife and mr selfridge I have shopped in selfridges many times when I lived in London. You don't get stores like that any more.
Great card by the way.
It keeps thinking about something white and we had a few flakes yesterday, it's very dank, dark and looks like it could snow any minute
Hope you have a good day
Margaret

Wow, this is fabulous Tilly!! So pretty, right down to the little die cut border along the bottom.

Gosh you brought back some memories. My Granny worked in the cashier's office in a Co-op and although, due to living abroad, I rarely saw her at work I do remember the flying money tubes and Granny waving from the little hole in the wall upstairs :))

There's a shop in Reading, sadly it's closing down, but they still use the tube system - bit more new-fangled as the tubes fly up inside a tube whereas am sure it was a system of wires where Granny worked.

Happy days :))

Hugs, Di xx

Hi Tilly, very pretty card - I like the garden theme.

I'm also enjoying Sunday night's TV, and so agree with you about Mr Selfridge - 'the customer is never wrong' - what is real shopping. I so miss the Home & Colonial, Liptons and the High Street experience - where you had personal service and could have your shopping delivered too! I absolutely loathe supermarkets and leave most of the shopping to my DH who, as luck would have it, enjoys it.

Thanks for popping in and commenting. I thought I had a lot of ribbons but 600 - amazing!!!

I can’t find a your post for this week’s WOYWW but wanted to say thanks for stopping by this week, so have left it here.

I too am enjoying Sunday evening TV (it makes up for the lack of something decent to watch on Saturdays) and know exactly what you mean about the shop. We still have a Bodgers in Ilford and it’s a bit like that inside…..well may be more like Grace Brothers from Are you being served.
Happy Crafting!
