Thank you so much to my visitors for your comments this year, it means a lot to me.
I was determined to have a gingerbread house this year and Mary Berry appeared just before Christmas and showed us how easy it was to make one !!! NOT QUITE !!!!!!!!!!!!
In the end we got it together (although my grandson went overboard with the snow) lol.........
It had a tea light candle inside and when lit, the stained glass windows look super. Chocolate buttons for the slates and smarties around the windows.
HOWEVER......................... to begin with, we iced the walls and got half the roof on....... it seemed to be going well and then all of a sudden it collapsed......
I hope you have a great night tonight if you are going to party.......... I shall be staying home in my fluffy dressing gown and a glass of red, looking at the rubbish on telly........ I may not even see in the new year!!!
Here's to our next crafty year............
Hugs to you all
Tilly x

Hi Tilly..Happy New Year to you and your family, good health for 2014 x carol
Aww Tilly, that’s for your visit. It’s nice to know I was missed.
I think your Gingerbread house looks fantastic.
I also watched Mary Berry making hers and it took me back to the one and only one that I ever made………..not as easy as she made it look, I agree. But it’s the taste that matters!
Wishing you a very happy and healthy New Year.
Happy Crafting!

Happy New Year to you Tilly. I saw MB making that gingerbread house and fancied it but a lot of work. I wonder if a battery night lite would be good to save smoking the gingerbread?
Hugs
Hettie.

I have not had a bash in making one of these yet, but am sure as my grandchildren get a bit older I won't have a choice, lol.
