Good morning..............

Here we are almost at the summer solstice and it does not feel 10 minutes since Christmas........ where has the 6 months gone ????

I am here to tell you little...........or why not be honest and just say to show off... lol....... about my grandson.

He was the second youngest Mayor of our country at 21 years of age, in 2012.He lives in Westhoughton, Bolton which is in Lancashire.

Because of the amount of money he raised during his official year, and the charity work they have supported, his name was put forward for the Queens Garden Party in June this year.
He went with his long time girlfriend Amy who also was his escort on his year as Mayor. When they got to the hotel, they had a free upgrade to executive suite, which was stunning
They had a wonderful afternoon

and enjoyed the afternoon tea

the red ribbon denotes ex mayor....it was also Prince Phillips 93 birthday. It became emotional as God Save the Queen was played when the event began, and the Queen, with Prince Phillip stood before them on the steps of the lawn.
To commemorate this I made a memory bedspread for them. Ryan has always been a Royalist from about 10 years old. I have put my name and date on the back as a heirloom!!

I also made 2 pillow shams to match

He was so overjoyed with this that it took me back in years to when he believed in Father Christmas !!!!

Not to everyone's taste, but I know for certain that he will always treasure my work.

Thank you for your visit and any comments you may leave.

Hugs Tilly xx
