Happy Friday

I am joining in today with Annie's Friday smiles, A stitch in time, it is her 100th blog. Well done to everyone.

My smiles this week are two one hour phone calls yesterday to family............ my Son in Darwin Australia and my nephew in Auckland, New Zealand. It was so lovely to catch up on eveyones news.
Because of time differences, it is usually email communication.

My next one has kept me smiling all over Christmas,
I made him just before Christmas and he is made from wadding, felt and buttons.
A friend taught me how to make him.

Next comes the little brave snowdrop
I planted these at the end of September, but because it has been so mild, I found this on Christmas morning, today it has closed slightly with the bitter cold wind.

And my last smile are these brave roses

This is the third time it has flowered this year, I thought it had finished in October and I cut it down when tidying up the garden. At the beginning of December it threw out 4 new flowers, I felt so sorry for it when it snowed here on Boxing Day.
A lesson to us all on never giving up........keep trying and you will succeed!

Challenges I am entering.

Crafting for all seasons ---------anything Christmas but a card

Miriam's crafting blog -----------hand-made gifts

Top Tip Tuesday...............not store bought

Craft my life --------------anything goes but no cards

Cutie pie challenge ------------anything but a card

Thank you for your visit.

Tee Hee! Your snowman looks cute. We have some roses that came out on Christmas Eve, which is quite eerie as they did last year too..the day of my friend's birthday who we bought the rose bush for when she died.
We have some snowdrops trying to peek out too.
Hugs and Happy New Year.

Lovely to see the flowers that are willing to brave anything the weather throws at us.
Isn´t skype wonderfu?. Is that what you use to phone the family? I do and it is such a precious time. Kate x
