Hello again

I am joining in with Annie's Friday smiles today,
I woke this morning to a very frosty morning with wonderful blue skies and sunshine, Love these mornings. The bright sun during the morning has made these babies open their fragile petals.

My first smile is a quilt I made for an unexpected Great Nephew who is due in April, Dad is 47 and Mum 43, they live in Auckland, New Zealand and children were never on their radar! They have just got over the shock lol...........

It's in the post so it can reach them before the baby arrives.
I have just made a big pan of chicken broth, it will be tonight's tea with chips underneath, then the rest in the freezer.

My son and family live in Oz and I saw this on facebook this week, it made me laugh!

Go and visit Anniehttp://wipso-astitchintime.blogspot.co.uk/ and see her Friday smiles.

Hugs Tilly x

Hi Tilly. What an exciting little afterthought. My Nan was 47 when my Dad was born and she lived to see him a Grandad so all sorts is possible. Love the quilt and I'm coming over for some of that soup :-)
Hugs,

I'm trying to do the math here. Isn't this February? That means she's due in two(ish) months. So, that must have been QUITE a shock. I'm sure they will love the quilt you made, though. It's a beauty.

I'm with Annie. I'm coming by for some of that soup.

Sorry I was late getting here. It's been another sick day for me and I'm just now getting out of bed (it's after midnight on Sat morning my time).

I love the crocus. I have tried to grow some mini daffs and tulips in a pot out here, but they are not doing very well so far.
My mum was 43 when she had me, but I was planned, as a ´friend´for my sister, as the rest of the family were born pre-war and we were post-war! I hope your niece enjoys her little one. I am sure she will love your beautiful quilt!
The last picture made me smile too.
