I am joining Annie's smiles this week, The first smile is for Easter which is both the saddest and the happiest times of the year in the Christian calendar.
Sitting here waiting of news from New Zealand for our new family member! I will then be a Great Aunt for the 3rd time !
Jon, my nephew and his wife Sam are expecting their baby very soon!As she had pregnancy diabetes and is 43, she went in to be induced on 2nd April (they are 13 hours in front of us) so 36 hours later still no proper contractions!AND she worked until Monday night! How she got behind the wheel I do not know, she had a 4 hour round trip each day making her working day 13 hours.
Next was the sewing club on Monday and we had a visit from a local lady who tie dyes all her own fabrics. some splendid colours and patterns, wish I could have bought more! the larger green will become a book and the others toward a patchwork quilt.
Lastly, a nappy holder for the nursery, (yes I know I'm late and the post takes a week by air)
a close up of fabric which makes me smile
Have a good week and a Happy Easter
Hugs Tilly x

The nappy holder fabric is very cute, but it was the tie dyed rainbow that really made me smile. Thanks for stopping by earlier. It's nice to "meet" you x
What a fab post Tilly. So much to smile about. Really hope you get good news soon about the new family member's safe arrival. The rainbow of fabrics really made me smile cos I did the same the last time I was let lose in a fabric shop :-) Fab nappy hanger too....clever you.

Hi Tilly, well I hope you have some lovely news by now and the nappy stacker is so cute. Have a great weekend Robyn
I hope you get good news soon, and you can start your Easter holiday celebrating new life.
Enjoyed seeing all the new fabric. I dye much of my own fabric, too, but I don't get results that wonderful. You have a great eye.
Happy Easter and happy Friday.
Oooo what a fabby nappy bag, you clever thing you, Luv Sam x
Congratulations on the new arrival (I am a great-aunt at least 35 times - I´ve lost count now - but it is always good news). Love the rainbow fabrics. I thought at first glance they were brusho paint samples!
The story of Easter really hit home for me this year when I went to see a Passion play at a village near here. It was a very moving experience.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend. Kate x
I have fabric envy. They are just gorgeous.
Hope your new bundle arrives soon.
Happy Easter.
xx
