Good afternoon

I would like to join with Annie and all the bunch in Friday smiles.............. Yes, I do have smiles most weeks but this has more than normal.
Share a Smile

On Monday at our sewing club we had to take a china cup, saucer and plate for 'Summer afternoon tea'.
A choice of sandwiches, cakes, strawberries and cream scones. A lot of chat and a little sewing thrown in .

On Tuesday my Grandsons girlfriend graduated from Edge Hill Uni at Liverpool. She looked stunning.
She embraced and enjoyed the day as much as she could as unfortunately, her Dad died the day before. He was always proud of his little girl, but would have been over the moon to see her in her graduation outfit, I'm sure he raised a glass of whisky to her  from up above lol......
At least he was here long enough to know all her hard work and dedication had paid of and she attained a  'first'. (with her Mum and Ryan) we are so proud of her.
On Wednesday, My daughter-in-law in Humpty Doo, Darwin, Oz sent me a picture of her Labrador dog which has just had 10 puppies in the night, 4 boys and 6 girls, all so sweet and everyone healthy, I hope Mum has lots of milk lol.........wait till they open their eyes and find their little legs!!!!......

On Thursday after working in the morning at the shop, I met up with two of my friends and we had lunch and a good old natter.
A week with smiles every day

How proud you must be of your grand son's girl friend. And how sad to read her story. Smiles and sadness oftentimes go together.

Wow, that's a LOT of pups. I hope they all find good homes. Sounds like it really WAS a great week of smiles. It was great that you joined us for this weekly event, too.

Wow, what a bitter sweet celebration that must have been.
What a large puppy family, someone is going to be very busy looking after all those.

Hi Tilly - words escape me reading your post...just sending hugs and smiles and congrats to the young lady. Must say though that we lived up at Palmerston NT near Humpty Doo for 14 years, so a surprise to read it in your post...that's a lot of puppies. Cheers Robyn

Hullo Tilly thank you so very much for popping over... wonderful images on your post.. the loss suffered will strengthen the young lady I pray for her... .. such a great loss.
But your pups will be thirsty and lots of squeaking and squealing too wanting mum all at once... I visited Manchester in 2012 and caught up with some crafters and loved it. Great area. Happy Smiles Day. Shaz in Oz.x

A sad and happy day for your grandson's girlfriend, but she looks justly proud of her achievements. I love all the little puppies but I'm glad I don't have to look after them! Kate x
