Good afternoon..............

Here in Manchester we seem to be getting one good day followed by 5 bad ones, this morning was beautiful before I went to work, but now as I eat my lunch (homemade carrot and lentil soup ) it has begun to rain!!. Most of the bedding plants need removing and roses cutting back when weather allows.
Yesterday,  I sat down and did more sewing for the McMillan coffee day which my friend Julia ( In Doncaster ) has every year. This is what I made;

and then this because I love the fabric.....

And then I finished off with a pin cushion.

Then I made some butternut squash and red pepper soup which tastes so creamy but only 2 w/w points!

I am off to have my hair cut now, but have decided to use the car because of wind and rain..... or I will defeat the object of looking tidy for choir practice tonight. (can't believe I was on Ainsdale beach this time last week and got sunburned! )
