A day for dossing..............

WARNING........... very picture heavy, get a cuppa......

Having  a rest today Saturday)  after two busy days of helping my friend Julia ( from do-crafts.... in Doncaster) She works very hard all year round making jams, chutneys, craft items and cakes for McMillan coffee day. It was from 9am to 9pm. I don't know how she does it even with help from her lovely husband Alan and family and friends......I went up early on Thursday morning and I left about 10.15pm last night  and got home knackered!
I was on tea, coffee, sandwich making, cake filling up, bit of baby minding, washing up and general go-for..........I did enjoy it though.
When I went up 2 weeks ago to help, I got sent home with some dolls to make. It was only on Thursday that I found out it was a little 'DO-CRAFT' round robin effort.!!
Angie from Down South gave the patterns to Julia, she asked me to make them as she did not have the time and then I took them made up and Julia sold them!!!! 3 do-crafters working together and she was not aware that I knew Angie!!.... some good friendships were made with that wonderful craft blog before they changed it all and spoiled the community.
Here are the items I made.....Mummy and baby bears
3 upside down dolls (forgot to take the other side) all components in these and the bears sewn seperate and a lot by hand.......
then there was cushions and stockings,

One item I made about 7 weeks ago is Rudolf, he is from a Debbie Shore pattern and he looks ready for pulling the sleigh!
(shame he is standing next to the box of Easter bunnies I did not use up and needs eating lol )
Then came Geoffrey the giraffe....which I love.....
This baby quilt is now on it's way to Germany for a new grandchild born on Tuesday.

I made gift bags, shopping bags, cushion covers and small Christmas stocking to hang on the tree (maybe with a chocolate bar inside???)
some of the goodies for sale
jams and chutneys
and 24 apple and apple and blackberry pies....... I rolled the pastry, Julia did the filling and put tops on and Susan did sugar topping and oven watching.... a great production line!!!
along with 24 assorted crumbles. (in tinfoil).
Ask me if I want to peel another apple for twelve months !!!! BUT then my neighbour has just brought me a carrier bag full from his tree!!!! Oh dear..... better start processing them for the freezer ready for pies and crumbles here lol.....
Sorry for the long post but thank you for your visit. I think the sewing machine will not see me for a few days........

PS>>>>She Made a great first total of £1060.00 with more promised. Her final total goes to McMillan at the end of October.

Also, my car passed is MOT on Tuesday and I have just had a new tiled floor in the kitchen as so many were cracked/broken so all straight again now.
