Good morning........

I had a lovely day out at Liverpool yesterday, with a friend. We went by train which took us into the centre of the city. Our first stop directly opposite Lime Street station and it was the main reason for our visit, was to see the poppy display that is on tour and part of last years poppys at London. It is called the Weeping Window.
As we arrived, a small service began to remember the people and families of the weekend bombings in France.
They are protected from the public by sandbags, which fits the theme so well.

We then went to visit the Museum and the Library which is stunning.

Here is the dome from the ground floor. So stunning as you walk in, My favorite room was this reading room
I loved the spiral iron staircases

The views from the Dome rooftop around the city are brilliant and we could see the Welsh hills clearly in the distance.
We then went into Liverpool One, the shopping area, unfortunately, the Christmas markets don't start until Thursday but there was street entertainment. We loved the Transformer guy.....he walked around looking a little like a turtle....

then he curls up to look like a jeep/hummer vehicule
We had a lovely lunch in Debenhams and then walked down to Albert dock, passing the statue of Billy Fury...... (a certain age group will remember him lol ) I loved him.
Then past some of the tall ships

We walked back to Lime street station totally knackered.! And it stayed dry all day!
Thank you for your visit

Hugs Tilly x
